Abstract

This paper describes the impact of Thyristor controlled series capacitor controller on the transient stability of power transmission. TCSC is designed primary for power flow regulation and control. For demonstration of the impact of TCSC on transient stability of power system was used 14 node model with 4 generator. These devices with suitable controller can therefore also be used for many other purposes than those for which they were designed.
